DB7 DB7 Vantage DB7 Volante DB7 Zagato Parts Availability |

The Aston Martin DB7 was produced from October 1994 to April 1999 and has chassis numbers running from SCFAA111VK 100001 to 102703. There were over 30 prototypes of the DB7, tested in the heat, cold and at altitude, also making full use of Ford test facilities.  Two DB7 GTs were made in 1995, given the chassis numbers AR 100001 and AR 100006. These cars were produced and tested under the guidance of David Richards at Prodrive with the intention of starting a single make race series. The engine output was increased to 385 bhp and other weight saving modifications made, despite this there was insufficient interest in the series to warrant production.  In collaboration with Alfred Dunhill, 79 cars were produced in 1998 with primarily cosmetic variations from the standard DB7. Owners received a specially fitted cigar humidor, silver cigar cutter, special designed lighter and AD 2000 silver pens. Tailor fitted 'CityScape' luggage adorned the boot space. The exterior was finished in Metallic Platinum Silver with charcoal Connolly hide embossed with the Dunhill logo. Back to top  The Vantage was produced from March 1999 to August 2003 with chassis numbers running from SCFAB121-XK 300001 to 304458. The DB7 Vantage was the first production Aston Martin to be fitted with V12 engine. This particular unit produced 420 bhp and incorporated the latest F1 technology. A total of 1477 cars were made assisting in ensuring the future of the company.  The V12 was introduced in 2002 and the chassis numbers are included in the Vantage series. 190 GT and 112 GTA models were produced. To meet the consumers demand for increased performance these variants were produced, power output was increased to 435 bhp, a six speed short shift gearbox and 18" wheels were fitted. The exhaust system and Brembo brakes upgraded to Vanquish levels and new vents were fitted to the bonnet. The GTA differed only in having a five speed automatic gearbox fitted. Back to top  The Volante version was produced from October 1996 to 2003 and had chassis numbers starting at SCFAA311-TK 201001. The chassis required a significant amount of additional stiffening and unfortunately as with previous Volante models the hood still did not fold out of sight. 879 Volante models were produced with sales effort being directed towards the American market.  The Vantage Volante was produced from 1999 to 2003 and the chassis numbers ran from SCFAB322-XK 400001 to 404297 with 1786 cars produced. Externally the car was mostly the same as the DB7 but incorporated the improvements from the Vantage Coupe. Back to top  Renewing Aston Martin's long standing relationship with Zagato, 100 models were produced in 2003 with chassis numbers running from SCFAE123-3K700001 to 700100. The specification was very similar to the DB7GT apart from one (710016,) which was fitted with a touchtronic automatic transmission. The most significant characteristics were the double bubble roof, distinctive 'egg-box' grill and rear wing that both took inspiration from previous Aston Martin models.
